Indoors, Outdoors, and Travel
There are many places that impose strict restrictions on physical fences. Abiding by the fencing guideline is becoming difficult day by day. Wireless dog fences offer a good, dependable alternative to physical fences.
The Motorola wireless fences can do a lot more than keeping the pet within the property. Suppose, you don’t want your dog to access certain parts of your house, such as the kitchen, bathroom, children’s room, etc. you can tweak the transmitter accordingly and train the dog to respect the restrictions.
Portability, that is, the freedom to carry the wireless system wherever you go, is one of the most important features of both Motorola WIRELESSFENCE25 and WIRELESSFENCE50 systems. The rechargeable transmitter and collar batteries and the carry case give dog owners the freedom to take their dogs along, on vacations and camping.
Signal and Coverage
Both the fence systems have a maximum coverage area of 1 acre, but the signal strength depends on the location. Make sure there is a clear line for the signal to travel between the transmitter and receiver. Physical obstacles and ground slope can affect the signal.
Rechargeable Batteries
The system absorbs plenty of battery power, but fortunately, both the fence unit and the collar receiver are rechargeable. A full charge of fence-unit battery should last for 48 hours and the battery life of the collar unit is around 96 hours. Keep in mind that battery life depends much on how the system is used. The dog fence system also has a feature to alert the dog owner in case of low battery charge.
Training Mode, Correction, and Other Features
The Motorola WIRELESSFENCE25 comes with two training modes (tone only and static correction) with 15 correction levels, whereas, the Motorola WIRELESSFENCE50 system is equipped with four training modes (tone only, push-to-talk (walkie-talkie), vibration, and static correction) with 15 correction levels. The walkie-talkie feature in this model allows the dog owner to verbally communicate with the pet.
The wireless fence system comes with two collars with rechargeable batteries, 3-4-inch wide nylon collar straps, and two pairs of collar contacts. The Motorola WIRELESSFENCE25 and WIRELESSFENCE50 collars are best suited for pets that weigh 20lbs or more. The collar is lightweight and the dog owners are free to let their pets out when it’s raining as the collar is water-resistant.
